I've had this overwhelming urge to load up my pack, drive to the middle of Nowhere Backcountry, USA and spend some time out alone in the wilderness. That wanderlust. It's nagging. Is it my age? My SAR instincts tell me that this is a terrible idea, though.
Life is all there for the taking, it's a matter of taking the plunge.

- I'm an EMT/CNA that just got hired as an ICU tech. I have a bit of experience in the PACU, OB-GYN, and as an amusement park EMT. I just finished my prerequisites for nursing school but due to financial situation will be working full-time for a while before going to nursing school. I live in a little house in the ghetto with the love of my life and two rescued puppies.

If you have the skillz, nothing wrong with solo trips into the woods. That's where I regain the small shreds of my sanity that are left.
